Welcome to my website!  Here is a little about me or a little more than you really want to know!

I am proud to be starting my 12th year of teaching  in 2009 - 2010 school year at Neosho were I attended Kindergarten - 12th grades!  I have taught kindergarten all but the '06 - '07 school year then I taught 1st Grade with the kindergarteners that I had in '05 - '06!  I love working with the little children.

My Philosophy/Teaching Style:

     I believe each child is special and have their own talents.  It is my foremost goal to bond with your child so they feel safe, secure, and loved.  I take your child’s strengths and abilities and build on them.  I have the highest of expectations for each child to meet and surpass the goals our school district and State have set forth.  We work hard and have fun learning.  Each day I hope your child will be excited to come to school to learn as am I excited to come and learn with them.

• Neosho High School, Neosho, MO in May 1984

• Associates of Arts from Crowder College,  Neosho, MO in May 1986

• Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood & Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State College, Joplin, MO in May 1998

• Master of Education from William Woods University, Fulton, MO in May 2005

Before earning my Bachelor Degree I enjoyed gaining experience at KinderCare Learning Center teaching 3s & 4s, Economic Security Corp. Childcare Centers in Carthage teaching and Joplin directing, and completed training and worked for Joplin R-8 in the Parents As Teachers Program.

My Family

I am fortunate to have such a wonderful family.  I married  in 1994.  We had a beautiful baby girl in 1998.  I am lucky to have the best mother, step dad and in-laws!  For fun I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
